Lunch & Learn: Florida State Parks and the Civilian Conservation Corps invite you to attend this insightful lunch and learn program, April 8, 2016 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Go back in time to the Great Depression and learn how and why the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) built the first state parks in Florida.

Dr. Dave Nelson of Bainbridge State College will discuss the establishment of the park system in 1935. Historical interpreter Darrel Smith will then talk bring to life the experiences of a CCC enrollee.
