Educational Travel Program
We host group historical, architectural and cultural travel experiences that allow our travelers to experience local culture through a global lens

The Florida Trust Educational Travel Program supports our mission by providing educational travel events around the world. We host group historical, architectural and cultural travel experiences that allow our travelers to experience local culture through a global lens.

Last year our trip to Spain brought to life the tangible ties between Florida’s history and Spain with a week-long trip that spanned multiple regions. We experienced world-class architecture and art, saw Flamenco Dancing where it was created and ate true paella. We hope you are able to join us on future adventures!

Florida Trust for Historic Preservation Presents:

Discover the Reflections of Italy

November 9 - 18

UPDATE: This event is still on!

With the COVID-19 pandemic, travel worldwide paused for the spring. However, we are happy to report our educational travel partner, Collette, plans to resume travel to Italy this summer!

That means the Florida Trust can continue its popular educational travel program with The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation Presents: Discover the Reflections of Italy, November 9 through 18.

Collette has extended the early bird savings ($200 savings per person) until July 1. If for any reason our trip is cancelled, Collette will either, at the traveler's preference, refund all monies (including insurance), re-book travel on another date or give a voucher for the full price of the trip including insurance plus an additional five percent to use for travel anytime.

Join us as we experience the magic of Italy on our tour that explores Rome, Assisi, Perugia, Siena, Florence, Venice and Milan. This nine-day adventure takes us across Italy where we will discover the rolling hills of the scenic Tuscan and Umbrian countryside, explore medieval hill towns and visit the birthplace of St. Francis, Assisi.

No trip to Italy would be complete without experiencing its legendary food scene. Visit a historic winery in the heart of the Chianti region and enjoy a chef-led cooking class with lunch, as well as delicious regional cuisine throughout the trip!

Our program focuses on locally-led tours, which bring licensed local experts from each of these cities to share the history, mythology, art and architecture that makes it unique. On your visit you will discover the masterpieces of the Renaissance in Florence and see hot glass transformed into exquisite art on Murano Island. You will explore the ancient Circus Maximus, the Arch of Constantine and take an in-depth visit to the Colosseum in Rome.

Linger in romantic Venice for two nights discovering its treasures, and experience the city from the water. Your journey comes to a close in Milan and includes a visit to the magnificent Gothic Cathedral – the Duomo.

We hope you will join us this year for what we are certain will be an amazing trip in Italy. To get started, fill out the registration form. Book now and save $200 per person!
